Residents will see an increase in their electricity bills starting with their June statements due to ComEd’s increased utility costs being experienced across 13 states. Contributing factors include increased demand, power plant retirements and more frequent extreme weather. For more information on the increase, see the attached flyer.
Residents are encouraged to apply for utility payment assistance through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program(LIHEAP), dupagecounty.gov/liheap, as well as the Low Income Discount Rate Program.
