As of November 15, 2022, DuPage County operates 211 – a free confidential information and referral service that will provide a central access point to health and human services in the area 24-hours a day year-round. The launch comes a day before National Information and Referral Day, which is Nov. 16!
The 211 line is a free, 24/7/365 confidential referral and information helpline and website that connects people to essential health and social services help when needed, including food, rent and housing assistance, legal aid, veteran services, senior services and more! The expanded service hours are made possible by an intergovernmental agreement between DuPage County and the Village of Addison, whose dispatch center will handle the evening, overnight, weekend and holiday calls. When you don't know who to call, dial 211 for nonemergency assistance.
Anyone can also search for available services on 211DuPage.gov, formerly known as DuPageCRIS.
