We’re celebrating! Today marks one year since DuPage County launched its 211 service that allows residents to dial three digits to connect with critical health and human resources.  The free confidential service has answered more than 5,300 calls representing roughly 9,500 total requests, with the top two needs being Housing and Shelter, and Utilities assistance. The data on the number of calls and types of requests, as well as other facts, can be found on our live, interactive dashboard found at https://dupage.211counts.org! A snapshot for download can be found in the News section of 211DuPage.gov. Residents can call 211 any time, day or night, weekends and holidays and get linked to services and programs that help with food, rent or utility payment assistance, low-cost legal help, health programs, family caregiver support, senior programs, veteran services, transportation assistance, emergency shelter and other housing help, mental health services and more.
