Broadband internet for families and households with limited income. One monthly service discount per household. Also provides one-time discounts on laptops, desktops or tablets purchased through participating providers.

Hours:

FCC: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

ACP Support Center: Monday to Sunday, 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

Intake Process:

(1) Go to https://www.affordableconnectivity.gov/how-to-apply/ to submit an online application or print out a mail-in application
(2) Contact preferred participating internet service provider to select a plan a have the discount applied to your bill

Languages:

Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Chinese, Arabic, French, Portuguese, Russian

Eligibility:

(1) Received a Federal Pell Grant during the current award year
(2) Meets income guides of participating providers
(3) Participates in at least one of the following:
(a) National School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program
(b) Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
(c) Medicaid
(d) Veterans Pension or Survivor Benefits
(e) SNAP
(f) WIC
(g) Lifeline
(h) Federal Public Housing Assistance

(4) Households that do not qualify under any of the above requirements, but whose income is 200% or less than the Federal Poverty guidelines

Required Documents

(1) Proof of eligibility (benefit award letter, approval letter, statement of benefits from certain assistance programs like SNAP, Medicaid or Lifeline, screen shots of StudentAid.gov dashboard showing Federal Pell Grant), (2) Proof of income (tax return, social security or VA benefits statements, unemployment benefits statement, pension statement), (3) Proof of identity (government ID, birth certificate, passport, resident card or ITIN), (4) Proof of residence (ID, utility bill or lease)
