The DuPage County 100-Day Veteran Challenge Team is inviting area landlords to a Veteran’s Landlord Engagement Fair, Tuesday, April 22, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am, at American Legion Post #76, 570 S. Gary Ave., Carol Stream.

The fair is part of a 100-day Challenge that aims to support the agencies’ mission to house homeless Veterans and to keep Veterans housed, by housing 24 local Veterans and connecting 100 percent of the veterans to at least one community service during a statewide 100-day campaign that launched March 10. The Challenge team includes Catholic Charities, Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, VA Hines Hospital, the Veterans Assistance Commission of DuPage County, the DuPage County Continuum of Care, DuPage County Community Services and the DuPage Housing Authority.

The fair aims to promote awareness and connect landlords with Veteran housing programs.  Federal and local organizations will be on hand to explain their housing support programs and the benefits these programs can bring to landlords. Landlords already renting to Veterans will be onsite to share the benefits and value of renting to Veterans.

If you already support Veterans, please come out and get updated information. Bring a colleague with you and please forward this and the attached flyer to anyone interested in learning more about how to provide housing to those who have served our country.

Please RSVP at 630-407-5655 and if you have any questions, contact Steven Fixler at steven.fixler@dupagecounty.gov. DuPage Landlord Fair Flyer
